Come and join us
In April 2019 we were awarded a new contract with the Vola Consortium. New Futures is an eighteen-week programme aimed at young people who are N.E.E.T., through individualised learning. The employability contract is in conjunction with KMBC apprenticeships initiative. Because of the overwhelming success of our first contract, we have been able to secure a second and, very likely, a third. So a massive thank you to Centre 63’s partners, dedicated Board of Trustees and staff team, both paid and unpaid, who have continued to demonstrate their commitment to young people and our organisation. We are continually striving to explore new funding streams and opportunities, and as ever innovation is central and fundamental.
Centre 63 recognises the need to further expand our service into a Community Business selling restored/upcycling furniture and other upcycled products to local residents and private businesses.
We promote our products through our website, social media and word of mouth. A proportion of the up-cycled goods are donated to families in need who access our Housing Project. Any profits from sales are reinvested back into the project.
KMBC Learning and Skills Department is also one of our contract funding partners and Tim Hall and his team have and still support our work with NEET young people. Thank you to Tim and his Team.
Business Development Officer
Our work creates a positive ripple effect in our community by keeping young people off the streets, providing them a safe and nurturing environment to tackle their negative situations and provide them with the space to increase their life chances.
